Pacific Neurobehavioral Clinic, PC (PNBC) is a private practice located in the vibrant and walkable Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego, CA. Our close-knit team consists of neuropsychologists, health psychologists, a licensed professional counselor, neuropsychological testing technicians, and dedicated administrative staff members. We see a wide range of adult (18+) referrals, for conditions that include psychiatric (depression, anxiety, PTSD, somatic symptom disorders, adjustment related to complex medical conditions), and neurological (TBI, strokes, neurodegenerative conditions). Current Opening:

PNBC has openings for two post-doctoral psychological associates for a one-year fellowship, working under the supervision of a neuropsychologist or a a health psychologist. Please note that this is not a formal site that meets the requirements of the Houston Conference Guidelines towards becoming a neuropsychologist. Rather this placement would provide the post-doc with behavioral medicine and health psychology experience in a private practice setting.

The psychological associate may be engaged (and not limited to) in the following duties:

  • Carrying a therapy caseload of 25-30 patients per week. The patient populations would include adults dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, somatic symptom disorders, and adjustment disorders related to chronic pain, cognitive difficulties, or changes in medical status.
  • Performing psychodiagnostic evaluations.
  • Administration and scoring of neuropsychological testing.
  • Engaged in weekly supervision with their primary supervisor. Group supervision and didactics will also be included in the training program.
  • Engaged in additional training for professional development.

This is a full-time position with a stipend of $60,000 for the year + full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and 401K retirement plan. The psychological associate would be required to come into the office located in Hillcrest, though a hybrid schedule for telework would also be likely.
